Biography

Corinne Hart began her dance training in Mundelein, Illinois. While in Illinois, she trained at Dancenter North in multiple dance styles such as tap, ballet, lyrical, modern, and jazz. Corinne was the only applicant of her age to be accepted into the school's Pre-Professional Program, gifting her the opportunity to work closely under renowned faculty such as Greg Begley of Hubbard Street Dance and Jennifer Callaghan of Milwaukee Ballet. In addition to her local training, she studied across the nation at summer programs including North Carolina Dance Theater, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, The Rock School for Dance Education, and Ruth Page Center for the Arts.

Ms. Hart received her BFA in Dance with a minor in Nutritional Studies at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in 2017, where she performed works by Stefanie Batten Bland, Ori Flomin, and Cherylyn Lavagnino. Upon graduating, Ms. Hart was invited to join Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance full time. She has also been working as a freelance dance artist with companies such as DiLorenzo & Co., RIOULT Dance NY, and Ori Flomin & Co. Ms. Hart continues to have a diverse performance career including performing in the Florence Dance Festival in Italy and at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater, among various venues around NYC and upstate NY.

"[Corinne] recognizes the inherent sensibility of the work immediately and brings a distinct performance value and technical clarity that is very supportive of the choreographic vision."

- Cherylyn Lavagnino

Corinne loves to teach ballet, modern, contemporary, tap, and hip hop to young dancers and beginner adult students. She has had the opportunity to teach at New York University (Guest Artist), University of Utah (CLD Rehearsal Director), Southern Methodist University (CLD Rehearsal Director), Ridgefield Conservatory of Dance (CT), RIOULT Dance Center (NY), Toscana Dance HUB (ITALY), and Dancenter North (IL).

She utilizes her talents for administration and organization by working extensively in the non-profit dance world. In addition to her performance career, Ms. Hart worked as an arts administrator. She served as Executive Administrator at Cherylyn Lavagnino Dance for seven years. In that time, she has assisted in acquiring multiple sizable grants for the company (NYU Dean’s Faculty Grant, Harkness Grant, O’Donnell-Green Foundation, among others). In 2018, Ms. Hart joined the administrative team at WADE (formerly Toscana Dance HUB) under Giada Matteini and in 2021, joined HOLDTIGHT Company under Gwen Gussman. Corinne finds that elevating the work of these artists is the most important and rewarding work she has ever had the pleasure of doing.
